FAQ.

What is Gaslimit™ all about?
You know how hard it is to keep paying to fill up your tank when prices at the pump keep going up. You read the news and hear what is happening to cause gas prices to rise but you also know there is really nothing you can do about it other than to drive less. You know how hard it can be to plan your budget and expenses because you never know how much it will cost to fill up your car. GasLimit™ wants to give you the ability to control how much you will pay to fill up your car by capping the amount you will pay for gasoline.

Does it matter which gas station I fill up at?
No, as long as its in the driving region that you chose. When you buy the product, you also tell us the amount of gasoline per week you want to cap and where you drive. Once you decide on the cap and cost for the product, GasLimit's system will automatically check the posted average price on the Government's website each week in the region where you drive and pay you the difference if its over the cap price that you chose. In fact, even if you end up not buying gas for an entire week, the product may still issue you a credit.

How do I know if cost of the GasLimit cap product is priced fairly?
GasLimit’s prices are market-based and we believe the cost of the cap protection is well worth the security you have knowing that you will not pay more than your cap for gas. If gas prices go up, you will receive a credit on your credit card statement for the amount of gas you purchased X the difference in price between your cap and the average price of gas in your driving area. If the price of gas stays below your cap, you will not receive any credit.

Why does it Work?
GasLimit’s price cap protection plan works because its based on the governments-published average price of gasoline. The plan is very simple. You decide how much you are willing to pay to cap your gasoline price at a certain level for a certain period of weeks/months. If the government publishes an average price in your area that is above the cap level you set, you get the difference back. If the government publishes prices below the cap level you set, you do not receive anything.

Gaslimit will pay me when the price of gasoline goes above the limit I set?
When prices rise beyond the limits set by our customers, the gasoline producers pay Gaslimit (we paid them the premium that you paid us) the difference and we pass that on to you by issuing you a credit on the credit card account you used to pay for the product.

Why isn't my state or city listed?
The Government publishes the states and metropolitan cities that encompass both large populations and diverse locations - all other states are included in a regional zones where the average for all those states included in the zone are taken into consideration. Because we are using the published price to determine if a payout is owed to you, as long as your location is represented you can expect the published prices to move in tandem to what you are experiencing at the pump.

What is your refund policy?
Gaslimit's refund policy follows a prorated monthly rate. The refund is based on the number of full months left in the program. For example on a $100, six month price guarantee the refund would be as follows:

Month: Refund amount:
1(100/6) x 5 = 83.33
2(100/6) x 4 = 66.66
3(100/6) x 3 = 50.00
4(100/6) x 2 = 33.33
5(100/6) x 1 = 16.66
